'Rock with you' - Michael Jackson

The song was written by Rod Temperton, formerly a member of disco group Heatwave. Jackson's producer, Quincy Jones, convinced Temperton to write some songs for Jackson...

The title of the song was first "I want to eat you up" but this was changed to fit Jackons image

Rock With You lyrics
Songwriters: Temperton, Rodney L.
Girl, close your eyes
Let that rhythm get into you
Don't try to fight it
There ain't nothin' that you can do
Relax your mind
Lay back and groove with mine
You got to feel that heat
And we can ride the boogie
Share that beat of love
I wanna rock with you all night
Dance you into day, sunlight
I wanna rock with you all night
We're gonna rock the night away
Out on the floor
There ain't nobody there but us
Girl, when you dance
There's a magic that must be love
Just take it slow 'Cause we got so far to go
When you feel that heat
we gonna ride the boogie
Share that beat of love
I wanna rock with you all night
Dance you into day, sunlight
I wanna rock with you all night
We gon' rock the night away
And when the groove Is dead and gone, yeah
You know that love survives
So we can rock forever on
I wanna rock with you
I wanna groove with you
I wanna rock with you
I wanna groove with you
I wanna rock all night with you
Girl, sunlight, rock with you
Rock with you, all night, yeah
Dance the night away
I wanna rock with you, yeah, all night
Rock you into day, sunlight
I wanna rock with you all night
Rock the night away
Feel the heat, feel the beat, all night
Rock you into day sunlight
I wanna rock all night
Rock the night away...

'One' by U2

This song can be understood in a number of ways. Some people think it's about the band, a girl, or an AIDS victim. Bono has said it is "About relationships."

Proceeds from the single were donated to AIDS research.

Three different videos were made, each interpreting the song differently. The first showed a buffalo running in a field. The second, which was mostly seen in Europe, featured U2 in drag. The third, shown mostly in the US, was built around Bono reflecting over a cigarette.

One by U2 Lyrics
Is it getting better?
Or do you feel the same?
Will it make it easier on you now?
You got someone to blame
You say
One love One life
When it's one need
In the night
One love
We get to share it
Leaves you baby if you
Don't care for it
 Did I disappoint you?
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth?
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it's Too late
Tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to Carry each other Carry each other
One Have you come here for forgiveness?
Have you come to raise the dead?
Have you come here to play Jesus?
To the lepers in your head
 Did I ask too much?
More than a lot.
You gave me nothing,
Now it's all I got
We're one
But we're not the same
Well we Hurt each other
Then we do it again
You say Love is a temple
 Love a higher law
Love is a temple
Love the higher law
You ask me to enter
But then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt
One love One blood One life
You got to do what you should
One life With each other
Sisters Brothers
One life But we're not the same
We get to Carry each other
 Carry each other
 One
 One

All you need is love - The Beatles

The Beatles played this "Our World", the first worldwide TV special. Broadcast in 24 countries on June 25, 1967. The Beatles were supposedly recording this live during the show, but they used a backing track and John Lennon's vocal was redone a few hours later. Eric Clapton mimed guitar on this during the special. The concept of the song was born out of a request to bring a song that was going to be understood by people of all nations.

The writing began in late May of 1967, with John and Paul working on separate songs. It was decided that John's "All You Need Is Love" was the better choice because of its easy to understand message of love and peace. The song was easy to play, the words easy to remember and it encompassed the feeling of the world's youth during that period. "All You Need Is Love" was a popular saying in the '60s anti-war movement. The song was released in the middle of the Summer of Love (1967). It was a big part of the vibe.

All you need is love - The Beatles

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game It's easy.
There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time - It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy. All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.

Emeli Sande Married!

Singer Emeli Sande has married her long-time boyfriend Adam Gouragine.

Her U.S representative confirmed that the R&B singer tied the knot in New York but gave no further details.

Sande won critics' choice at this year's Brit Awards and sang at the Olympics ceremonies in London.

'The Cure' - Lovesong

Cure lead singer Robert Smith originally wrote this as a wedding present for his fiancée, Mary, shortly before their marriage. The lyrics were inspired by the constant touring Smith had to go through with The Cure.

He wanted his wife to know that no matter how much he had to travel and perform, he would always love her. Adele recorded this on her 2011 album 21.

She explained to The Sun why she covered it: "My first gig was the Cure in Finsbury Park, which my mum took me to as she's their biggest fan." Adele was suffering from some vocal difficulties when she recorded the song. "My voice had gone, which I was a bit kind of paranoid about, but it actually suits the song really, really well," she said.

Lovesong - The Cure Lyrics
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am young again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am fun again
However far away I will always love you
However long I stay I will always love you
Whatever words I say I will always love you I will always love you
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am free again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am clean again
However far away I will always love you
However long I stay I will always love you
Whatever words I say I will always love you I will always love you

'Made in the dark' - Hot Chip

Vocalist and keyboardist for Hot Chip, Alexis Taylor told the Sun newspaper that he thought this song contains the best lyrics he'd ever written. "I got to thinking about relationships and how quite an important moment takes place in the dark. As human beings, we are all 'made in the dark' to some extent. I was ruminating on the fact that important things you do are done by not speaking."

Lyrics to Made In The Dark :

Since we fell apart I've been nothing but blue
Longing for a nighttime to bring back my youth
Every night in motion together apart
Apart from the moments so dear to my heart

We were made in the dark
We were made in the dark
We were made in the dark
We were made in the dark

Since I stole this song we have made a new start
My premonition hits hard as our start is apart
Every night the motion must be fixed by glue
But babe be careful what's fixed as one breaks in two

We were made in the dark
We were made in the dark
We were made in the dark
We were made in the dark

'Have I told you lately' - Van Morrison

This song is widely considered to be about Van Morrison's religious convictions. Once quoting: "Religion is a kind of word game. It's whatever it means to those individuals who are following that belief system. If you say something has got spirit or "I feel the spirit," to me, that would be more appropriate - spirit in the Aristotelian sense, that the mind and body and spirit are one thing. Which is different from religion."

Rod Stewart performed the song on his MTV Unplugged special in 1993.

There is a Country song from the '40s called "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You," by Elvis Presley, Gene Autry, Bing Crosby and Ray Price, but is a different song - written by Scotty Wiseman. Morrison recorded this song with The Chieftans in 1995.

This version appeared on the group's album The Long Black Veil and earned a Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.

Have I told you lately (Van Morrison) Lyrics:
Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do
Oh the morning sun in all it's glory
Greets the day with hope and comfort too
And you fill my life with laughter
You can make it better
Ease my troubles that's what you do
There's a love that's divine
And it's yours and it's mine
Like the sun at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray to the one
Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do
There's a love that's divine
And it's yours and it's mine
And it shines like the sun
At the end of the day we will give thanks
And pray to the one
Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do
Take away my sadness
Fill my life with gladness
Ease my troubles that's what you do
Fill my life with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles that's what you do.
